Kenneth Paul Campbell, age 101, of Temperance, MI and formerly of Larchway Court in Toledo, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 24, 1922 in Alton, IL, to June May and Rose (Siemer) Campbell. Ken was a graduate of Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, Il. He was a decorated WWII Veteran of the US Army and proud member of the 33rd Infantry Division. He was employed as a Senior Price Analyst for Owens Illinois in Alton, IL and Toledo, OH for 41 years, retiring in 1982. He also worked for H&R Block for 25 years. Ken was a parishioner of St. Clement Catholic Church and a member of CWV Jude Thaddeus Post 1675. His favorite pastime was fishing, and he always looked forward to the family’s annual vacations at McLaren Lake in Hesperia, MI. He was also a great poker player. Ken loved being at home, keeping busy and visiting friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Beverly (Zawodny) Campbell (married November 18, 1961); daughter, Angela (Don) Kintner; sons, Michael Campbell and Christopher (Debbie) Campbell; and grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Kudas, Cristina Kintner, Jacob (Julianne) Kintner, Thomas Pollard, Tanner Pollard, and Jessica Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Krotz and Margaret Kramer; and brother, Ralph Campbell.
Visitation will be Friday, March 8 from 3-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 East Alexis Rd. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 9 at 10 a.m. in St. Clement Catholic Church preceded by visitation at the church from 9-10 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery with Military Honors led by the VFW 606 Burial Corps.
