



Valentine and Rita (Bielawski) Sujkowski
Valentine (Bill) Sujkowski and his wife, Rita (Bielawski) Sujkowski are co - owners of Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe. A licensed Funeral Director, Valentine has been in the Funeral Service Business since 1946. He is the grandson of William J. Sujkowski, and the son of William K. and Rose (Okoinski) Sujkowski. He is a graduate of St. Stanislaus Catholic Grade School and Libby High School and attended the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Mortuary Science. A WWII US Army Veteran and recipient of a Purple Heart, Val served as a Surgical Technician and became a prisoner of war in 1944. Prior to entering the war and after, he worked at the former family funeral home on Nebraska Avenue in Toledo along with his parents and brother, Eugene Sujkowski, and was co-owner of the business on Airport Highway. He also worked at St. Vincent Hospital in the tissue lab, preparing slides for the pathologists and assisting in autopsies. He has always been a compassionate, amiable professional, helping families in their time of grief.
Rita Sujkowski is a graduate of St. Stanislaus Grade School and Whitney Vocational High School. She has been assisting her husband Valentine and son, Hilary in the operations of the family funeral business since 1986. A very dedicated and unassuming co-owner, Rita works diligently to ensure the family funeral home is always kept in pristine condition and that the families are well taken care of before and during visitation.
Valetine and Rita are members of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, and parents of Valerie, Hilary, and Audrey.
Hilary and Amy (Seeman) Sujkowski
Hilary Sujkowski and his wife, Amy (Seeman) Sujkowski are co-owners of Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe. Hilary is the son of Valentine and Rita Sujkowski. He attended St. Hyacinth Catholic Grade School and is a 1973 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo. Hilary began working in the funeral profession since he was in high school. A graduate of the University of Toledo and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, he became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1980, and in 1986 began the newest facility on Alexis Rd.
Hilary’s wife, Amy Sujkowski, attended Maumee Valley Country Day School and is a 1974 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo. She studied piano and composition at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and the University of Toledo. Currently pianist for the choir of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Point Place, she has served as music director for Regina Coeli Catholic Church, St. Joseph Church in Maumee, and St. Catherine of Siena in Toledo. She is a member of the Toledo Diocesan Liturgical Commission, and The Masterworks Chorale. Amy is also a licensed beautician and an employee of the funeral home.
Hilary and Amy are strong supporters of the arts in the Toledo Community. Formerly longtime members of the Toledo Ballet Association, their sponsorships include the Ballet Theatre of Toledo, and the Masterworks Chorale. They are parishioners of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, and proud parents of Alyson, Andrea, and Avery.
Donald and Valerie (Sujkowski) Malinowski

Donald and Valerie (Sujkowski) Malinowski joined the staff in 1996, and have been of tremendous assistance managing office and business affairs. Donald attended St. Adalbert Catholic Grade School, Woodward High School, and the University of Toledo. He worked for the Toledo Edison/Centerior Energy electric utility company over 37 years, primarily in information systems, retiring in 1993. After joining the Sujkowski Northpointe staff and becoming our business manager, he also obtained his pre-need license in 1998.
Valerie (Sujkowski) Malinowski is the daughter of Valentine and Rita Sujkowski. She attended St. Hyacinth Catholic Grade School and is a 1970 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo. She attended the St. Vincent School of Radiology and the University of Toledo and worked as a Registered Radiological Technologist for 25 years before joining the family business in 1996. Valerie also studied music performance at the University of Toledo and Lourdes College. She is licensed in pre-need and is a certified preplanning consultant.
Donald and Valerie are parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, OH. They are the parents of Mark, David, Kelly, and Matthew, and grandparents of Marissa, Julia, and Maxwell.
Janice Eckel
Jan (Finney) Eckel joins our staff as a licensed Funeral Director and Family Service Consultant. She is a graduate of Lake High School and the University of Toledo where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and Public Relations. Jan specializes in Advance Funeral Planning and Post Service follow-up, as well as at-need funeral arrangements, assisting families through a difficult and confusing time while putting them at ease with her friendly and caring demeanor.
Barbara Kovacs
Barbara Kovacs has selected Funeral Directing and Embalming as a second career with Sujkowski Northpointe. She is a 2005 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Barbara and her husband Dan are active members of St. Steven Catholic Church in East Toledo. Barbara obtained certification as Celebrant ® through Doug Manning. Her selfless service and compassion as well as her light heartedness make her a valuable and competent addition to the staff. Previously an Electrician for many years, Barbara is a member in good standing with the IBEW Local 8 Toledo, OH.
Duane Adamczak
Duane Adamczak joined our staff in 1998 and is the nephew of co-owner Valentine F. Sujkowski and cousin of co-owner Hilary J. Sujkowski. Duane attended St. Hyacinth Grade School, Macomber High School and the University of Toledo. This US Army veteran worked for the Toledo Edison Company for over thirty-seven years, primarily managing activities in the Duplicating Department, and retiring in 1993. Duane's focus has been on general activities.
Jada Binkowski
Jada Binkowski has begun her funeral directing and embalming career with Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe. She attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School, and graduated from St. Ursula Academy in 1999. Upon receiving her Associate Degree in Psychology from Owens Community College, she continued her education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where she received her Bachelor Degree. Jada’s caring nature and thoughtfulness make her a valuable employee and welcome addition to our staff.
