Edward Latkofsky

Edward Richard Latkofsky passed away suddenly in his home on Tuesday, January 8th, 2019, at the age of 60 years. Edward was born to Richard and Irene (Sagan) Latkofsky on May 27, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio.

Ed graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1976 and The University of Toledo in 1979. He has worked as a Respiratory Therapist for the last 39 years. He spent 22 of those years at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, OH and he was a current employee at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, MI.

Ed was best known as the life of the party. Friends and family will always remember him sitting by a fire and listening to free bird with a BV and Pepsi in his hand. Ed also loved spending time working on his 1968 Camaro and giving belly rubs to his loyal companion, Gracie.

He is survived by his wife, Denise (Jagielski) of 35 years. Edward is also survived by his three children, Jason, Jessica (Scott) Sawyer, and Jacob, his mother Irene (Sagan) Latkofsky, sister Debra Ridge and many additional loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Ed was preceded in death by his loving father Richard Latkofsky.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2-7 at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will begin at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Gerald Ignatowski presiding.

Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
