Francis Kenneth “Frank” Mocniak Jr., age 66, of Toledo, OH, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 21, 1952 in Toledo to Frank K. and Virginia L. (Muszynski) Mocniak. He was a US Navy Veteran. He worked for Foodtown 34 years before moving to Kroger Corporation, retiring from Kroger’s in August of 2018 after 15 years of service. Frank was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He spent his time off helping others in his local community doing odd jobs. He was excited for retirement and enjoyed spending time with his kids and 11 grandkids. Those who knew him best will forever miss his quick witted personality.
Frank is survived by his wife, Beverly (Allen) Mocniak; sister, Margaret (Tom) Ferrari; brother, David (Lauren) Mocniak; daughter, Becky (Kevin Knaus) Mocniak; sons, Todd (Tonya) Mocniak, Brad (Morgan) Mocniak, and Steven (Erica) Mocniak; and 11 grandchildren - Stefen, Jessica, Boston, Mariah, Suri, Annabelle, Noah, Isak, Owyn, Liam and Dempsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank K. “Morgan” Mocniak and Virginia L. Mocniak.
Family and friends may visit Monday, January 28 from 2-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, January 29 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park with Military Honors led by VFW 606 and Navy Personnel.
Memorial donations can be given to the American Heart Association and/or the family.
