Gerald Beck

Gerald Allan Beck, age 79, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, January 30 2019 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 6, 1939 in Toledo, OH to Clarence and Helen (Wellman) Beck. Gerald worked in sales his whole life, at the Home Depot in Perrysburg, for several car dealerships, and as an insurance salesman. He was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and longtime Usher at the 9 a.m. Mass. A member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 3122, he was very involved with the K of C’s “Measure Up” campaign. Gerald loved camping, reading, listening to music, and pie. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, devoted to family and faith, he will be greatly missed.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Nowak) Beck; son, James Beck; daughter, Tanya Randolph; sister, Judy (Wilbur) Bedacht; stepdaughter, Linda (Patrick) McNeal; stepsons, Paul (Gina Lugo) Szczublewski and Joseph Szczublewski; 7 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, William (Allison) McNeal, Brian McNeal, and Brad McNeal; and step-great-grandchildren, Aubree McNeal, Emma McNeal, and one-on-the-way. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sonya Beck; brother, James Beck; and sister, Joan Beck.

The Funeral Mass for Gerald will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church preceded by visitation in the church from 10-11 a.m. Inurnment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
