Alfreda Studniewski, 93, of Toledo's Point Place community, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at Kingston Residences of Sylvania with her beloved son and granddaughter at her side.
Alfreda was born on September 2, 1931, in Toledo to Theodore and Julia Zarecki. She graduated from Woodward High School and worked for a time at her father's meat market and grocery. She loved going out with her many friends to enjoy the music and dance scene of Toledo as a young woman. It was there that she met Richard who was to become her husband of 56 years. Together they raised a family in the Polish Village neighborhood of Toledo, faithfully participating as parishioners at St. Hedwig Parish. Alfreda was a dedicated spouse and mother to her two children, and an extraordinary homemaker.
After moving to Point Place in 1992, Alfreda enjoyed her twilight years keeping up with her many lady friends, strolling the neighborhood with her older sister, Rita, and participating at St. John the Baptist Parish. Her biggest joy was reuniting with her extended family. She loved family gatherings when she could visit with the people that she so loved and cherished. She was a true friend to anyone she met and was the epitome of kindness, warmth, and compassion.
Alfreda was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents and husband, and her daughter, Karen Szczublewski. She is survived by her son, Rev. Gary Studniewski, grandchildren, Rick and Jennifer Szczublewski, and her beloved sisters, Barbara and Julie Ann.
Visitation will be held at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 East Alexis Road, Toledo, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Please join the family for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
