Angelita Helen Santos Lopez

Angelita Helen Santos Lopez, 82, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Orchard Villa, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Jesse and Maria (Ramirez) Gallardo.

Baptized in the Catholic faith, Angelita enjoyed attending Mass at St. Joseph Church in Erie, Michigan. She was a talented seamstress who created beautiful quilts, a gifted cake decorator, and an exceptional cook—especially of traditional Mexican dishes. Above all, she was a devoted mother, caring for her children with extraordinary love and dedication.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ruben (Kimberly), Alfonso (Lydia), and Raymond Lopez; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas (Tarrah), Andrew (Sofia) Lopez, Tiffany (Michael) Draeger, Angela (Vince) Dunn, David (Ceddy) Lopez, Ashley (Tim) Brock, Christina, Kaylee, Raymond Paul Lopez; great-grandchildren, Matthew Harmon, Christian, Noah, Elizabeth, Zachary, Damien, Felicity, Kinsley, Malachi, Levi, Owen Lopez, Hunter, Elliott, Dean, Gene Draeger; brothers, Marcelo, Alegandro (Sheila), Lusio (Cindy); sisters, Mary Lou (Joe) Florez-Briones, Phyllis (Homer) Shields, Margaret Jeko; Anita Alverez, Rosemary (Jerry) Narew, Olga (Jim) Williamson, Bobbi Love; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her former husband of over 30 years, Ruben Lopez, Sr.; son, Jesse; parents, Jesse and Mary C (Ramirez) Gallardo; brothers, Jesse, Roberto and Joe Gallardo; and sisters, Virginia Bijarro, and Linda Gallardo.

A visitation will be held at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 East Alexis Road, in Toledo, OH on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow and Angelita will be laid to rest at a later time with private family services.
