Barbara Ann “Barb” Hite, age 78, of Lambertville, MI passed away suddenly on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Toledo Hospital. She was born on November 2, 1944 in Toledo, OH to Klemens and Helen (Swat) Paszczykowski. Barbara was a graduate of St. Hedwig Grade School, Woodward High School, and Stautzenberger College. Over the years she was employed as a patient assistant for Dr. Wysocki on Lagrange St. and Central Ave., and as an office worker at Central Catholic High School. She also managed the Budapest Restaurant on Monroe St. for 5 years.
Barb was a 20-year member of Resurrection Parish PNCC, where she was actively involved as a cook and server for their Taste of Poland dinners. A skilled baker, she provided beautifully decorated cakes for special occasions as well. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling with her friends at Lido Bowling Alley. She was also a 49-year member and past treasurer of the CWV Jude Thaddeus Post 1675 Auxiliary. Barb was a devoted wife and loving and proud mother and grandmother. She loved watching her grandchildren. Departed from us too soon, she will be dearly missed.
Barb is survived by her husband, Ed Hite; son, Eric (Leeann) Hite; and grandchildren, Eric Hite II, Mary Hite, Claire Hite, Madeleine Hite, Molly Smith, and Ryan Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a vigil service led by CWV Post 1675 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Temperance, MI where the Solemn Requiem Mass will be sung at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
