Barbara Ann Martin

Barbara Ann Martin, age 90, formerly of Canal Road in Waterville, OH passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. She was born January 1, 1934 in Toledo, OH to Anthony and Doris (Nowicki) Printki. Barbara was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and employed as an administrative assistant for the Center for Women and Children at the Toledo Hospital, retiring from there in 1999. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she loved being with her family, especially vacationing at the family cottage on Cedar Lake in Oscoda, MI. Barbara was a voracious reader and loved traveling all over the world with her husband Joe. She also enjoyed following sports and was a fan of the NY Yankees. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Paul (Cynthia Straub), Karl (Simona), and John Martin; grandchildren, Sara (Nathan) Recker, Mellissa Martin, Anthony (Dory) Martin, Brendan Martin, Rebeca (Seth) Dickens, and Jason Baros; great-grandchildren, Harper, Trystin, Hadley, Griffin, Kellen, Hunter, and Collins; and best friend since grade school, Joan Bigelow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Martin; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Martin.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 15 from 4-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Mass will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, preceded by visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
