Barbara Ann (Borer) White was born to Dorothy J (Sliwinski) Borer-Alt and Robert B. Borer on August 26, 1946. She was raised in Toledo, Ohio. A graduate of St. Clement grade school and Notre Dame Academy, she also attended the University of Toledo majoring in Education. She married Paul White on October 21, 1967.
Barbara is survived by husband Paul, daughter Lori (Jeffrey) Hubbard, and son Christopher (Alysia) White. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey. She is also survived by grandchildren Bianca and Brielle White, Maddy (Kyle) Fox, Brittany (John) Zilba, Jeffrey and Brandon (Breanna) Hubbard, and proud great-grandmother to Elias, Samuel, and Parker.
When her children were younger, Barbara worked tirelessly with the pro-life movement. She also represented the State of Ohio as a delegate to the Women’s Conference for the unborn in Texas, meeting with 3 former First Ladies in addition to John McCain and Ted Kennedy. After her retirement, Barbara’s greatest joy was caring for her granddaughters, Bianca and Brielle. She was a former member of St. Clement Catholic Church and a current member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania.
Family and friends may visit Sunday, January 8 from 2-5 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will begin Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Chaplain Chris Roper presiding. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
A special thank you to the staff and residents of Maumee Pointe who made Barbara’s last months a pleasure, especially Stephanie and Sam, two wonderful caring individuals who have earned their wings. Remember her with a smile. We would also like to thank Dr. Karamal, Kelly and Rob for the excellent care over these years, Dr. Ravindran, Leslie and Buffy for teaching her to do her dialysis and giving her wonderful care, and the staff at Southern Care Hospice for their care.
