Bennie Frances McPherson

Bennie F. McPherson, age 89, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 26, 1933 in Williamsburg, KY to Benjamin and Grace (Campbell) Croley.  Bennie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. An avid reader throughout her life, she also enjoyed bowling and visiting casinos. She was a member of the VFW 3338 and 3265 Auxiliaries.

Bennie is survived by her children, Connie (Tom) Zigray, Dennis McPherson, Blenda (Brad) Holler, and Wendy (Bob) Watts; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ernest L. McPherson and Floyd Tarquinto; son, Mark McPherson; granddaughter, Andrea Zigray-Dorsey; brothers, Jerome, Oren, Troy, and Morris “Sonny” Croley; and sisters, Mary Snyder, Janet Heltebrake, and Norma Monhollen.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19 from 10-11 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Deacon James Dudley presiding. Inurnmenet will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
