Bobbie Sue Gerity, age 57, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Ebeid Residence, with her loving husband, Chris, and daughter, Ashlie, by her side. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 21, 1968, to Harvey E. and Della R. (Armentrout) Parker. Bobbie was a caring and compassionate person who dedicated her career as a social worker to helping others. A graduate of Woodward High School, she went on to earn her associate degree in social work from Owens Community College. Bobbie married the love of her life, Christopher Gerity, Sr., during a special ceremony on the shores of the Maumee River on July 27, 2017. Bobbie was also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and coached girls’ softball and basketball, encouraging her players both on and off the field.
She is survived by her husband, Chris; her children, Ashlie Rose and Gregory (Samantha); her grandchildren, Jaylyn (Kaitlynn), Jaydyn, Rico, Antonyio, Jose, Anastazja, Christian, X’ion, Maclin, Charlotte, and Elijah; her great-grandchildren, Aurora and Londyn; and her siblings, John (Kristy), Joe (Liz), and Becky; and her numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Amy.
A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held at Westwood Park, 4065 Airedale Avenue, Toledo, OH, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, Toledo, Ohio.
