Carolyn Louise Pozniak

Carolyn Louise Pozniak, age 68, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Mercy St. Anne Hospital. She was born on February 26, 1953 in Mayfield, Kentucky to Earl and Juanita (Gore) Hobbs. Carolyn was employed as a Nurses Aide at the Toledo Hospital for 31 years, retiring in 2012. Nicknamed the “Cruise Director” by her husband Ray for her friendly and outgoing nature, she loved people and she loved to talk. She and Ray were longtime members of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Raymond Pozniak; son, Eric (Barbara Dillie) Davis; stepson, Harry Pozniak; stepdaughters, Tara Gilliam and Holly Webb; and grandchildren, Layla, Eric, Sierra, Arehanna, Charles, Champ, and Gabe. Also surviving are her siblings, Leighann Orsulak, Brenda (William) Shelton, Rebecca Hobbs, Mary Jean Scott, and Steven (Sandy) Hobbs; ex-husband, Jeff (Margaret) Davis; grandmother, Mary Davis; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stanley Hobbs; and nephew, Craig Hobbs.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 4 from 3-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH with a rosary at 7 p.m.  Interment will be in St. Jerome Cemetery, Fancy Farm, KY.
