Dean Talmadge “Tal” Lewark Jr., age 74, of Temperance, MI passed away at home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. He was born on December 1, 1947 in Toledo, OH to Dean Talmadge and Dorothy “Dottie” (Hogoe) Lewark Sr. Dean was a graduate of Bedford High School and employed as a Millwright for the Ford Motor Plant in Milan, MI for 30 years, retiring in 2006. A talented craftsman, Dean enjoyed woodworking, making pens and stained-glass projects, fish tanks, and spending hours making “erie deerie” fishing lures. He enjoyed being outdoors - whether camping, fishing, boating, or bicycling down the east coast. He loved being with friends and family with boat trips to Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay, and Mackinaw Island, camping trips to Higgins Lake, and watching the kids’ sporting events. An avid pool player, he was a member of the CRAPS Pool League, and a VIP Member of Pool’s Amateur Tour.
Dean is survived by his son, Brett Lewark; daughter, Michelle (Michael) Coleman; grandchildren, Heather Huffman, Jeffrey Huffman Jr., and Mackenzie Coleman; sister, Linda (Mike Tarwacki) Peterson; brothers, Bradley and James Lewark; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Randy and John Lewark.
Visitation will be Friday, July 22 from 2-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral service will begin Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Amy Kuhlman presiding.
