Douglas John Malinowski

Douglas J. Malinowski, age 67, of Temperance, MI passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born December 31, 1954 in Toledo, OH. After graduating from Woodward High School, he joined the Navy. He worked for many years at Kay Printing. After that he worked for himself as a handyman – he built his own house, helped his siblings with repairs, and was hired to do various jobs for many people. Doug enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, attending summer concerts in the park, building various items, and spending time watching the kids play sports. He was the most honest, sincere, and giving person to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. You couldn’t ask for a better brother or uncle.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Helen (Sulzer) Malinowski and brother, Darrell Malinowski. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Darlene Hesse and Diane DeLand; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Malinowski; nieces, Taryn Hernandez and his godchild, Jennifer (Tim) McKibben; nephews, Jason (Karrie) DeLand and Matthew DeLand; several great-nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, May 15 from 2-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with Doug’s nephew, Deacon Jason DeLand presiding.
