Eric David Calendine

Eric David Calendine, age 63, of Toledo, passed away at home on Sunday, May 24, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1962 in Toledo, OH to George Sr. and Frieda (Miller) Calendine. Eric was a graduate of Bedford High School and attended the University of Toledo for 2 years. A member of Bedford High School’s hockey team, he also played club hockey with the Toledo Rockets while at UT. He was employed as a Medical and Industrial Gas Division Manager for Reliance Propane for 42 years. Eric loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Florida, Mt. Rushmore, the Outer Banks, and multiple cruises with his wife and family. He also loved playing golf and was a passionate Detroit sports and Ohio State fan. A devoted husband, father, PaPa, brother, uncle, and friend - he was a true family man. More than anything he cherished time with his loved ones, especially his 4 granddaughters.

Eric is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen (Stachowiak) Calendine (married November 10, 1990); daughter, Ericka (Nicholas) Dashner; son, Cody (Mariah) Calendine; and granddaughters, Adelynn, Amelia, Ava, and Violet. Also surviving are his siblings, Doug (Nancy) Calendine, Linda Lintner, George (Patty) Calendine, and Mike (Raelyn) Calendine; nephews, Evan, John, and Everett Calendine; and niece, Laura Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Dustin Calendine.

Visitation will be Friday, June 5 from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  Funeral services will be private with interment in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
