Obituary
Gary Chester Olewinski, age 68, of Toledo passed away at home on Thursday, August 10, 2023. He was born on April 6, 1955 in Toledo, OH to Chester and Alice (Poszadny) Olewinski. A graduate of St. Stanislaus Grade School and Libbey High School, Gary began his employment career at Craftmaster, and went on to work for the Lucas County Department of Engineering and Maintenance for 30 years.
Gary loved his Harley Davidson, fishing, and playing golf. He also enjoyed playing darts at the old Buckingham Palace and American Legion, playing euchre, and spending time with his faithful canines and best friends, “Sadie” and “Cammie”. He was a former parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Alice; sisters, Sandra Olewinski and Judy Eddy; and brother, Randy Olewinski. He is survived by his loving wife and companion of 39 years, Cindy (Stolarski) Olewinski.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, August 13 from 2-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a prayer service led by Jana Whitmore at 5 p.m.
