Harold Otis Bolton passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was born in Toledo to the late Harold and Cecil (Witten) Bolton.
As a young man, Harold served in the US Army during the Korean War. Upon his return, he met and married Beatrice (Smoot) Bolton. They were happily married for 68 years. Harold worked many years at Owens-Illinois and later worked for a local vending company as their handy dandy repairman.
Harold took great pride in working on his home, and personally expanded it with the help of his father and brothers. His favorite part was his garage, where he spent many hours quietly working on projects. He took it as a personal challenge if you told him something was unfixable or couldn’t be done. He also loved working in his backyard vegetable garden. Never a man of many words, Harold was supportive in his own way when he was needed: calm, collected, responsible, and ready to lend a hand.
Harold was preceded in death by his three older siblings and his beloved wife, Beatrice, (Feb 2021). He is survived by his daughter Linda Williams (Don Cox), son David (Becky) Bolton, grandchildren Crystal, Holly, Jacob, and Whitney, special niece Pamela Bolton, special brother-in-law Sam (Pat) Smoot, and many great grandchildren.
Family would like to thank the nurses at St. Vincent’s for the wonderful care given to their father. Service will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 419-476-9176. www.sujkowski.com
