Jack Lee Curtis, Age 82, formerly of LaPointe Court in Addison, MI passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Parkcliffe Memory Care surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 21, 1941 in Toledo, OH to Earl and Pearl (Murphy) Curtis. Jack was a graduate of Woodward High School. He was employed as a groundskeeper for Bill Boyle of Addison, MI, a supervisor at Hydramatic, and supervisor for the Jeep Corporation. He retired from Jeep in 2001 after 25 years of service. Jack and his late wife Nora were members of the North Toledo Arrow Club, and social members of the American Legion Post 315 in Brooklyn, MI. They both loved snowmobiling, and summer lake life at Mercury/South Lake in the Irish Hills of Addison, MI. Jack also loved working with his hands and restoring his classic 1933 Chevy Coup.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Nora (Pierce) Curtis on December 3, 2018; son, Ron Rovito; great grandson, Zayne Nusbaum; and sister, Patricia Brewster. He is survived by his children, Gina (John) Nusbaum, Michael (Pam Roberts) Rovito, John Curtis, Bridget (Bob) Luman, and Wendy (Jim) Halterman; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kim Rovito; dear friends, Rick and Diane Eskin; and faithful Pit Bull, “Remmie.”
Visitation will be Monday, October 16 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will be Monday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Paul Britter presiding. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Erie, MI.
