Mr. Jacob Joshua Krawetzke, age 37, of Toledo, OH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 15, 2026. He was born on January 28, 1988 in Toledo, OH to Charles H. Krawetzke and R. Karol (Hardy) Krawetzke. Jacob graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2007 from Mason Consolidated High School in Erie, MI. He worked as a Production Operator at the Jeep North Assembly Plant from April 22, 2015 to the Present. He was a former Custodian at the US Postal Service in Temperance, MI from December 1, 2014 to March 14, 2015. He was a former Car Detailer at Saturn of Toledo from October 26, 2008 to December 7, 2010.
Jacob’s main mission in life was to survive whatever obstacles would cross his path. Jacob was diagnosed with a rare muscle cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) which he battled at the young age of 6 thru 8 years old. From then on he was cancer free and remained in remission for the remainder of his life until his passing. Jacob liked the finer things in life. His favorite thing was being with his siblings whether it was singing harmony, watching movies, playing board games, cards, marbles, Texas Hold’em or 10,000 a dice game which he mostly always won. He had many hobbies like traveling, swimming, fishing, and hunting just to name a few. Jacob was a very avid and knowledgeable sports fan. He was a huge Green Bay Packers and Michigan Wolverine’s Fan! GO BLUE!
Jacob left this world without the gift of becoming a father which he so desperately wanted to be. However, through his siblings (Rhonda and Charles) Jacob was given the blessing of being “the amazing Uncle Jake”. He strived to fulfill every aspect an uncle title entailed and he definitely hit the mark “to infinity and beyond”. He was blessed to have one nephew (Keegan) and four nieces (Zoey, Vaydah, Marquetta, & Genevieve). Jacob enjoyed spending special time with them all. He even considered all of their friends as his own as well. He welcomed them all into his home and would have it stocked with snacks, candy, and goodies of a vast variety with multiple fun things for them to do. A welcoming environment for them whether he was home or not. He liked taking them out to Nickel World, the movies, drive-ins, parks, shopping, fishing, church events, out to eat at various restaurants, among so many other things.
Jacob was raised Roman Catholic and as a young child his family attended St. Agnes Catholic Church in Toledo, OH. However, as he got older he frequently would enjoy services at CedarCreek Church in West Toledo. He loved the Lord and all of the hymnal songs. He did his best to share God’s word with everyone around him. He had a fond relationship with the Lord and was very proud to have been saved from his cancer through continual prayers and worship by himself and his family.
Jacob is survived by his mother R. Karol (Hardy) Krawetzke; his sisters Joy L. (Bradley Hall) Krawetzke, Rhonda N. (James Tanner) Krawetzke and his brother Charles B. (Diana Oberg) Krawetzke; his nephew Keegan S. Tanner, and nieces Zoey G. Scicluna, Vaydah M. Tanner, Marquetta N. Tanner, and Genevieve L. Tanner. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Krawetzke on May 20, 2014.
