Janet Elizabeth Zahnle

Janet Elizabeth Zahnle, age 60, of Columbus, OH, passed away on February 19, 2025. She was born in Toledo, OH to Edward and Margaret (Garcia) Estrel on January 19, 1965. Janet was a 1983 graduate of Woodward High School. Janet was a kind soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a generous and caring nature; she would give anything she had to help others. Janet had a humble spirit and faith in Jesus. She was hardworking and found a second family at Planks Café in Columbus, where she worked for many years and will be dearly missed. She passed with her beloved dog by her side, Princess Angel.

Left to cherish Janet’s memory is her daughter Britney (Christopher) Hohensee; her two grandchildren, Elijah Hohensee and Leo Hohensee; her siblings, Audrey (Rick) Lotozynski, Bonnie (Jack) Straub, and Donald (Joyce) Estrel; and her dear mother, Margaret Estrel. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Estrel.

Visitation will be at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service held at 1:00 p.m. An additional memorial service will be held in Columbus at a later date with her loving friends at Plank’s Café.
