Jann (Brehmer) Mate peacefully left her family and friends here on Earth on August 21, 2022 at age 63. The youngest of four siblings, she is now united in heaven with her parents, Donald and Winifred (McCallin) Brehmer and brother, Donald “Red” Brehmer.
Jann is survived by her loving husband David; her son Steven; brother Michael (Jane) Brehmer; sister Dee Young; nephew Joshua and son Nick, nephew Troy (Elizabeth) and children Maddison and Ryan, niece Alysia (Sean) and children Shallan and Connor; sister-in-law Debbie Mate; and best friend Lorah Balzer.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 25 from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Funeral services will begin Friday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Jann passed peacefully at UTMC. David and Steven feel very blessed for all who have visited, sent words of comfort, and the medical staff at UTMC. In lieu of flowers, Jann requests that those who come to the funeral home or the church service bring one or more canned goods. These will be donated to the St. Patrick of Heatherdowns “Feed Your Neighbor” program.
