Jay Lawrence Eurenius (Jackpot Jay), age 72, of Erie, Michigan, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Jay was born on January 8, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to Lawrence and Ruth (Hughes) Eurenius. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School and spent much of his working life doing what he enjoyed most, working with his hands. He also enjoyed duck hunting, was an avid bowler as well as a casual golfer. In later years he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Above all else, Jay loved his family. He also had a special place in his heart for his pets, especially his beloved dog, Bart.
He was a fun-loving man with a warm smile who enjoyed a cold beer while not taking life too seriously, he will be dearly missed.
Jay is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his son, Matthew (Mary)Eurenius; his daughter, Meghan (Dustin); his grandchildren, Jackson and Andrew Eurenius, and Cora Jones; his sister, Lynn; along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
