Jean E. Kaczmarek, age 91, of Toledo’s Point Place and Shoreland Community, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born on October 27, 1929 in Toledo, OH to Stanley and Theresa (Wilichowski) Walczak. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She was a former parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul, and a current parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Jean loved gardening, especially her beautiful roses, and couldn’t wait for them to come up in the Spring. She also enjoyed crocheting and painting the wood crafts made by her husband Joe. She loved going to Cullen Park to walk her Cocker Spaniel. A very friendly person who enjoyed the company of others, she was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Gerald) Golebiewski, Marjorie (Thomas) Pollauf, and Kathleen (Stephen) Hawkins; grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Durtschi, Bryan (Beth) Pollauf, Chad (Melissa) Pollauf, Brady (Brent) Huston, and Carrie Hawkins; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Theresa; husband, Joseph Kaczmarek in 1999; sister, Virginia Kroll; and brothers, Kenneth, Raymond, and Gerald Walczak.
Visitation will be private at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 419-476-9176. The Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
