Jeffrey Mark Riebe, age 63, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 7, 1957 in Toledo, OH to Melvin LeRoy and Ella Mae (Williams) Riebe. A graduate of Whitmer High School, Jeff began his working career at Hunt Wesson Foods, and later used his skills as an accounting and administrative specialist for the City of Toledo Taxation Department, where he was employed for the past 26 years, most recently as a Supervisor. Jeff was a highly decorated Veteran of the US Army. An avid outdoorsman and family man, he enjoyed nature walks, bike rides, bonfires, fishing with his grandkids, and hanging out with loved ones at the family pool. He was a skilled photographer who loved being behind the camera at any family events. He was also proficient with computers, and a big fan of NASCAR.
Jeffrey is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Vicky (McKinney) Riebe (married June 20, 1992); children, Brandon Riebe, Kimberly (Joshua) Forbes, Crystal Vargyas, Jim Martinez, and Daniel (Shannon) McKinney; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Michael (Arlene) Riebe, Garry (Rhonda) Riebe, Nancy (Richard) Morris, Gregory (DeAnne) Riebe, Melanie (Scott) Riebe, and Natalie Wilson; stepsiblings, Paul (Sharon) Adlington, Janet Lawson, George (Joyce) Adlington, Karen Wertz, Sandy (Steve) Tornai, and Barb (Nelson) Antisdel; half-siblings, Roger (Kathi) Sund, Shirley Henry, Nealson Smallman, and Nelson Smallman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Juanita Adlington; sister, Shelley Denny; and stepbrothers, Ronald (Wanda) and Robert (Annette) Adlington. In addition, Jeffrey will be greatly missed by his two furbabies.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2 from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Clarence Coleman presiding. The VFW 606 Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors at the funeral home.
