Joan Marie Jozefowicz

  Joan Marie Jozefowicz, age 86, formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin, Ohio. She was born on December 28, 1934 to Stanley and Florence (Plenzler) Jankowski. Joan was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. In 1960 she married David F. Jozefowicz, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2010. Joan retired from Finance System of Toledo as an account specialist after more than 25 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed group dinners and talking to friends at her apartment complex; working on puzzles and puzzle books to stay sharp; and staying active with family and friends. She was a longtime parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

  Joan is survived by her daughter, Adele (Rodger) Gill; her two sons, Dean and Thomas (Tracey) Jozefowicz; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Stanley and Florence; and stepmother, Edna Plenzler and husband Richard, she was preceded in death by her half-sisters, Kathleen, Susan, and Nancy Sieja; brother, Ronald Jankowski; and son, Ronald Jozefowicz.

  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12 from 3-6:30 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH 43612. The Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 13 at 11 a.m. in Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2240 Castlewood Dr., Toledo, OH 43613. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo.
