John Michael Piotrowski, age 76, of Toledo passed away at home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. John was born in the old Polish neighborhood in 1945 to Stanley and Florence (Shubargo) Piotrowski. He delivered the Toledo Times to his neighbors and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1963. He then worked for Dana Corp as a machinist, retiring in 1994 after 30 years of service.
John met Suzanne (Banasiak) in grade school and married his sweetheart October 28, 1967 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. He was a skilled wallpaper hanger and drywall finisher. He loved fishing, golfing, and bowling and bowled his first 300 game in 2006. A Veteran of the US Marine Corps Reserves, he was a life member of DAV, PRCUA, and longtime member of ORYC.
John is survived by his wife Sue; daughters, Jennifer (Bob) Lenart and Cindy Piotrowski; grandchildren, Robert Lenart and Kim Lenart; and sisters, Judy Piotrowski and Jackie Piotrowski. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Caryn Sue.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 11 a.m. The VFW 606 Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors at the church.
Those attending visitation and the Funeral Mass are asked to wear masks and respect social distancing guidelines.
