John Irving Weaver II, lovingly known as “Bubba”, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Ebeid facility in Sylvania, OH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 24, 1968 in Toledo, OH to John Irving and Levonne Louise Weaver Sr. John was a graduate of Waite High School, “Class of 1987”. He worked in shipping and receiving at First Solar for 18 years, and before that at Schutz Container and Collingwood Water. John was an avid sports fan and followed the Pittsburg Steelers and Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved vegetable gardening and was a talented cook, especially gifted at transforming leftovers into something new and delicious.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 25 years, Theresa “Teri” (Callanan) Weaver; daughter, Sara (Joshua) Kamenca; granddaughter, Kendall Henson and grandson “on the way”, Ethan Kamenca. Also surviving are his sisters, Debra (William) Duseberg and Rebecca (Robert) Orwig; mother-in-law, Jo Ann Callanan; sister-in-law, Beth (Lance) Anthony; nieces, Megan Anthony and Jordan (Tyler) Orwig Schmieg; and nephews, Sean Anthony and Aaron Gross (fiancée, Holly Sampsel).
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15 from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. Interment will be in Whiteford Union Cemetery, Lambertville, MI.
