Joseph Michael “Pops” “Dziadz” Bagrowski, age 92, of Toledo passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 16, 1930 in Toledo, OH to John and Stella (Kajtaniak) Bagrowski. Joseph was a graduate of Macomber High School and a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was employed as a machinist at Doehler Jarvis for 41 years, retiring in 1989. After his retirement, he and his wife Ruth moved to Bradenton, FL and resided there for 30 years. Joseph was an avid bowler with several leagues and enjoyed fishing as well. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and a former parishioner of both St. Stanislaus and St. Patrick of Heatherdowns.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth (Dobrzykowski) Bagrowski in 2020; sisters, Clara Rawski and Martha Miller; brothers, Edward, Leonard, Raymond, and Aloysius “Ollie” Bagrowski; grandson, Paul Rogers; and great-granddaughter, Felicity Kopietz. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Mike Poling) Rogers and Monica (Tom) Stack; sons, Michael and Mark (Nicole) Bagrowski; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; twin sister, Joan Boyce; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, September 30 from 3-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, October 1 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Interment with Military Honors led by the VFW 606 Burial Corps will follow in Resurrection Cemetery
