Josephine Wodarski

Josephine “Josie” Wodarski, age 94, of Holland, Ohio, passed away at the University of Toledo Medical Center on Sunday, March 3, 2024 in the company of her loving daughter. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 10, 1929 to Frank and Sophia (Wengrzrn) Przybysz. Josie was a graduate of Woodward High School. Over the years she worked in payroll at 5/3 Bank, Inverness Country Club in the administrative office, and Hickory Farms on the assembly side of things, but found being a homemaker was her true calling.  

Josie enjoyed cooking homemade meals. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden and developed quite the green thumb. As she got older, she became a snowbird and would travel to Naples, Florida with her boyfriend Emery Toth for 6 months every year. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church. 

Josie’s survivors include her son, Allan Wodarski; daughter, Kristine “Krissy” (Joe) Wunder; and grandchildren, Miranda Wodarski, and Evan, Elliot, Dalton, and Campbell Rae Wunder. She will also be dearly missed by Emery’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by her parents; boyfriend Emery; and siblings, Janie, Cookie, Virginia, and John. 

Those wishing to pay their respects to Josephine and her family are invited to St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church on Friday March 8, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. with her Funeral Mass starting at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
