Joyce Ann Ahrendt, 85, of Toledo passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 2, 1937 in Toledo, OH to Earl and Juanita (Strausser) White. A graduate of Whitney Vocational High School and a licensed beautician, she worked in a Downtown area beauty salon in her early years. Joyce was a talented artist who excelled in painting and sketching portraits, still lifes, flowers, and animals. She and her husband “Ozzie” enjoyed slot car racing at the Hobby Stop, camping, and were members of the Point Place Snowmobile Club. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, Joyce was “a beautiful lady and a great mother and grandma”.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Audrey (Glen) Harter, Pamela Ahrendt, and Kimberly Folczynski (Greg Thrush); grandchildren, Ian (Celia) Mayes, Eric (Sarah) Mayes, Corey Kirk, Tyler, Jordan, Justice, and Courtney Folczynski; great-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Henry, Wyatt, and Jayden; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford “Ozzie” Ahrendt, sisters, Iona, Evelyn, and Loretta; and brothers, Roger and Robert.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18 from 2-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home with Deacon James Dudley presiding. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
