Karen Sue Langlois

Karen Sue Langlois was born in Toledo on October 24th 1950. She grew up as the only sister to three brothers. She met the love of her life. Robert J. Langlois when he came home with her eldest brother, "Butch" from school. They were married May 19th, 1973. She graduated from Whitmer High School. Karen worked at an Open Pantry shortly before and after they were married, for almost ten years as a secretary and occasionally dressed up as Cuddles The Clown to draw in customers. But her main desire and purpose in life, which she greatly succeeded in was to become a mother. She became a homemaker after giving birth to three children: Ronnett Langlois, Jennette Langlois and Robert Langlois. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Sierra Langlois, Drucella Griffin, and Chloe Langlois. She also is survived by two great grandchildren Lilly and Matthew as well as her daughter-in-law, Corrine Langlois.

Karen was a survivor of Cancer and after 28 years of fighting since her first diagnosis, she passed away peacefully in her sleep from heart disease brought on due to Hodgkins-Lymphoma treatment. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Shinaberry. She is survived by her brothers Robert, James, and Donald Shinaberry.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 23 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. followed by the Funeral Service at 2 p.m.
