Kenneth Bernard Kretz

Kenneth Bernard, age 90, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 3 with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 3, 1933 in Toledo, OH to Bernard and Gertrude (Hesselschwardt) Kretz. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a Veteran of the US Army. Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with family and sharing his wife Amelia’s wonderful home-cooked meals. He also enjoyed playing poker and euchre, and trips with Amelia to the casinos in Toledo and Detroit. He was a parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Amelia (Thomas) Kretz; children, Becky (Tom) Grabarczyk, Lori Kretz, Melissa (Pat) Sexton, Lance Kretz; daughter-in-law, Rachel Kretz; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Kretz; and sister, Kathleen Brockman.

Services for Ken will be private; Arrangements have been entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 419-476-9176.
