Leeann Marie Hite, age 41, of Luna Pier, MI passed peacefully into eternity on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Ebeid Center with her loving family at her side. She was born on February 20, 1984 in Cleveland, OH to Dale and Linda (Chupa) Yurchenko. Leeann graduated from St. Mary Catholic Central High School in Monroe, MI and Davis College, and was employed as a CMA and RMA for the Westgate Family Medicine practice on Monroe St. in Sylvania for 10 years. She also was a Medical Assistant instructor at Stautzenberger College for 5 years.
Leeann was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Temperance, MI where her husband Eric serves as director of music. Blessed with a lovely soprano voice, she sang for many years with the St. Anthony church choir as well as the Most Blessed Sacrament church choir in Toledo and the St. Mary Catholic Central choir while in high school. She loved knitting, cooking and baking, and discovering new recipes which she shared on Facebook with friends and family. She especially loved Monday night “kitchen dates” with Eric when they shared quality time talking about their day and cooking new dishes together. A devoted wife and mother who cherished her children and loved ones, she was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
Leeann is survived by her loving husband, Eric W. Hite; children, Madeleine Hite and Joseph Hite; stepchildren, Eric (Madison) Hite, Mary Hite, and Claire Hite; granddaughter, Kai; parents, Dale and Linda Yurchenko; brother, Christopher Yurchenko; and niece, Caterina Yurchenko.
