Linda Sue Starr, age 80, passed away on May 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 8, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio, to Mervelle and Dorothy (Martin) Cowell. Linda was formerly of Grandview, TN, and lived a full and adventurous life with a great sense of humor. She worked in various roles over the years, including as a semi-truck driver, in a television factory, for Dura for 25 years, and most recently at a bakery before her retirement. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding her motorcycle and playing horseshoes. She especially cherished time spent with her family at the lake. Linda had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many dogs she cared for over the years.
She is survived by her children, Tim (Theresa), Tom, and Georgia Lohmeyer; grandchildren, Michelle, Hailee (Chris), Mike (Abbey), Tommy, Autumn (Michael), and Nancy; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Merv (Carol), Mary, Jim (Bev), and John (Dee). She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Jan and Judy, and her grandson Timothy Lee II.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a cancer research organization of the donor’s choice. Arrangements entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, Toledo, OH.
