Loving mother, Lois A. Babiuch, passed away on September 30, 2023 after a short illness. She was born to Ogen and Frances Swonger on May 16, 1937 in Toledo. She attended Martin School for primary studies and graduated from Holland High School. Lois was an organizer and planner and was head of several reunions planned for schoolmates and family members. She enjoyed her job with Butler Paper Company as a secretary, before becoming a full-time Mother and Wife after being married to Stanley in 1963. She was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others.
Lois joins her husband, Stanley Babiuch; brothers, Dale, Stanley, Richard, and Karl Swonger; and sisters, Nancy Lett and Janet Elvey in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members including her children, Robert Babiuch and Sue (Andy) Gillhouse; grandchildren, James Quigley III, Donielle Whiteland, Anne Gillhouse, and Courtney (Ryan) Deskins; as well as sister-in-law, Peggy Babiuch. Lois’s special friend, Bob Walter, also survives and will miss her greatly. Her great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends have enriched her life and benefited from her love of all things silly and Jesus’s love showing through her.
A private interment will be held in Resurrection Cemetery. Please join us for A Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 7th from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Alexis Gardens, 4560 W Alexis Rd., Toledo 43623. Arrangements were entrusted to Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 419-476-9176.
