Lois Ann (Matuszewski) Nowicki

Lois Ann Nowicki, age 88, of Toledo passed away at home on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Toledo, OH to Joseph and Mary (Kaminski) Matuszewski. A graduate of Whitmer High School, Lois worked at one time for Toledo Scale, and at Seaway Foodtown as a bookkeeper and cashier for 28 years. She was a member of and Union Steward with the UFCW at Foodtown. Other memberships included Beta Sigma Phi, the F.O.E Aerie 197, and the Sylvania Moose Lodge 1579. A former parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, she was a current member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Toledo. Lois loved to travel, and spent many winters as a snowbird with her husband Thomas in Panama City Beach, FL. She also liked reading, scrapbooking, knitting, cooking, and talking! She will be terribly missed.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary P. Case; son Philip Case; and husband Thomas T. Nowicki. She is survived by her daughters, Christine Case, Victoria Case, and Candace (Larry) Case Godlewski; stepson, Daniel Nowicki; daughter-in-law, Marsha Case; grandchildren, Corey Case, and Samantha (Jason) Maddox; great-grandchildren, Harper and Mason Maddox; and granddog Lexi.

The Funeral Mass for Lois will be Tuesday, March 15 at 11 a.m. in Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo. Inurnment will be at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery.
