Mary Ann Theresa Knapik

Mary Ann Theresa Knapik, age 95, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at her daughter-in-law’s home, in Temperance, Michigan.  She was born on July 19, 1928, in Toledo, OH to Lawrence and Agnes (Slomkowski) Jaskowiak.  Mary Ann worked for forty years as a Press Operator for Acme Stamping, retiring at age 65.  She was an exceptionally talented craft artist and created a variety of items, including crocheting Angels.  Mary Ann also did fantastic wood working with her son, Thaddeus Jr.  She was a longtime parishioner of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. 

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jean Knapik; many nieces, nephews, and friends; and special friend, Gloria DeMerritt.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thaddeus J. Knapik Sr.; infant daughter, Veronica; son, Thaddeus J. Knapik Jr.; brothers, Joe, Albert, and Stanley; and sister, Helen.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 17 from 3-7 p.m. in Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  The Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Church.  Those attending the service are invited to go directly to church.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
