Melissa Sue Lemerand

Melissa Sue Lemerand, age 63, of Toledo, passed away at home on Saturday, December 28, 2024. She was born on September 23, 1961, in Toledo, OH to Frederick “Sonny” and Carole (Bodeman) Lemerand. Melissa was a graduate of Greenwood Elementary School and Whitmer High School. She was employed as a caregiver for the Guardian Angels, and as a sales associate for the Kmart department store on Alexis Rd.  Melissa loved assisting others and worked most of her life in the home health care industry. Self-sufficient and skilled in many areas, she was always a great help to her parents and family.  

Melissa is survived by her mother Carole; sister, Julie Williams; nephew, Willard Williams; niece, Leah (Ryan) Fitton; great-niece, Annabella (Gavin) Throop; great-nephews, Trever and Trenten Fitton; and dear friend, Eric Anderson. She was preceded in death by her father, “Sonny” Lemerand.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 4 from 4-7:30 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  The funeral service will begin Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Jim Dudley presiding.
