Michael William "Mick" Dorn

Michael William Dorn, age 79, of Toledo, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Ebeid Hospice Center with his loving family at his side. He was born on August 25, 1945 in Toledo, OH. Michael was a graduate of Mason High School, “Class of 1964”, and was employed throughout the years as a truck driver for a variety of companies. He was a parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.

Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with family. He was especially grateful to have had the chance to meet his newborn great-grandchild before his passing. Michael loved the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and boating, and was a longtime member of the River View Yacht Club. He also loved trips to The Bluffs in Florida.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Kathleen (Smenner) Dorn; children, Michael (Heather) Dorn and Kelly (Mike Miller) Dorn; grandchildren, Darby (Shane), Abbigail (Jane), Hudson, and Alyssa (Dillan); great granddaughter, Sunny Jo; siblings, Tom, Bonnie, and Sarah; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorine (Stern) Dorn; parents-in-law, Betty and Bob Smenner; niece, Holly; sister-in-law, Susie; and great-niece, Ava.

The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy., Toledo, OH 43612 preceded by visitation at the church from 9-10 a.m.
