Michelle Blandine Karpinski

Michelle Blandine Karpinski, age 67, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 26, 2024.  She was born on November 14, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio to Pierre and Joanna (Bickford) Leduc.  Michelle attended Whitmer High School.  Over the years, she was employed at Target, Toledo Raceway Park, and had her own cleaning service.  Ultimately, Michelle was a fantastic homemaker, who provided a warm and inviting environment for her family and friends.  She was a wonderful cook and fondly remembered for her delicious spaghetti.  A woman who enjoyed being entertained just as much as entertaining, Michelle loved going to musicals – most recently attending The Lion King and Wicked.  She was also a huge sports fan who cheered on the University of Michigan Wolverines, Cleveland Browns, and New York Yankees.  Michelle’s greatest joy was being a supportive mother and grandmother.  She always made a point to wear her family fan buttons and never missed a game or special event.  Michelle’s favorite times were spending the holidays surrounded by family.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Michelle is survived by her son, Kevin (Amy) McIlhargey; grandchildren, Kayla McIlhargey (Ryan), Cole McIlhargey, and Dalton McIlhargey; former husband, Dan McIlhargey; sister, Jeanine (Billy) Zgorzelski; and brother, Jan Leduc; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Karpinski; son, Corey McIlhargey; and brother, Chris Leduc.

Visitation will be Friday, May 3, from 2-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  The Funeral Service will begin Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Deacon James Dudley presiding.
