Michelle Marie Olender, age 52, of Toledo’s Shoreland Community, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 11, 1967 in Toledo, OH. She worked at M&J’s Restaurant, and at the Point Place Kroger Store for 28 ½ years, at both the Summit St. and Suder Ave. locations. A talented athlete with the medals to prove it, Michelle was very active in the Special Olympics, where she excelled in bowling, golf, track, and basketball. She was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State University. She also enjoyed watching movies. Michelle loved everybody. A hugger and a helper, she was blessed with the happiest and sweetest disposition. She made the world a sunnier place with her beautiful smile and will be dearly missed.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Pat Tutak; father, “Lenny Dad” - Lenny (Connie) Olender; grandmother, Gloria Bower; sisters, Lori Olender, Tiffany (Richard) Shumway, Dawn (Joel) Liske, Gayle (Matt) Heer, Gina Taylor, and Christine Crooks; her boyfriend, Gary Nottage; nieces, Charlotte and Caroline; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her “Gary Dad” - Gary James Tutak.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Rabara presiding. Interment will follow in Fish Cemetery. Those attending the service or visitation will be required to follow current social distancing guidelines.
