Monica Lynn Spangler, age 64, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 18, 1960, in Toledo, OH, to Earl and Kathleen (Maciejewski) Cranmore. Monica was a graduate of McAuley High School, Class of 1978. She began her working career as a server at Mel Berman’s restaurant, and went on to become a production operator for Guardian Industries for 20 years, and First Solar for 4 years, retiring in April of 2023. Monica was hardworking her whole life, at one time holding down three jobs to support her family. A loving, supportive, and devoted mother and grandmother, Monica was happiest being with her family. She enjoyed caring for them and always had delicious meals prepared. She was a former parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Monica is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Charles) Oakes, Valerie (Adam) Holguin, and Jaime Spangler; grandchildren, Forrest (Monique Esterhuizen) Bennett, Gregory (Karlee Grieselding) Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Devin Vasquez, Julian Holguin, Ava Oakes, Chuck Oakes IV, and Brad Oakes; brothers, Brian (Denise), Todd (Paula Stout), and Keith Cranmore; and aunt, Gloria (Gene) Eby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Gene Bennett II.
Visitation will be Friday, November 29, from 4-8 p.m., at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin Saturday, at 9:30 a.m., in the funeral home, and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
