Norbert W. "Norb" Kirian

    Norbert W. “Norb” Kirian, age 71, of Toledo, passed away at home on Sunday, May 24, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1955, in Toledo, OH to Norbert W. and Laura (Skibinski) Kirian. Norbert was a graduate of Woodward High School. A highly skilled repairman who was licensed in all mechanical fields, he was owner and operator of Northwest Handyman for over 40 years. Norb could fix anything.

    Norb was a former parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, attended St. Michael’s before its closing,  and currently attended Regina Coeli Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an associate member of VFW Post 5530. Norb was proud of his Polish heritage, played the accordion, and attended all the local Polish festivals. He loved traveling and enjoyed many day trips with his wife Sandra to sites throughout Michigan and Ohio. He was a flying enthusiast who took flying lessons at one time. He also loved food and going out to eat with his family and friends. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he especially cherished spending time with his 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

    Norb is survived by his wife, Sandra (Gomer) Kirian; children, William (Rebecca) Kirian, Jennifer (Bart) Balcerzak, and Michelle Kirian; stepchildren, Amber (Gabriel) Jacobs, Jason (Amy) Risner, Jennifer Whitaker, Keith (Leslie) Risner, and Katie Risner. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Lee Lenix.

    Visitation will be Saturday, May 30 from 3 – 6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.
