Phyllis Louise Drozik, age 90, of Toledo’s Point Place, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was born on May 8, 1934, in Toledo, OH to Joseph and Cora (Kruzel) Jozefowicz. Phyllis was a graduate of Woodward High School. She was employed as a waitress at Brauer’s Delicatessen in the former Colony shopping center for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. A loving wife, mother, busia, and homemaker, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed getting together with the “Baba’s Club” - her grade school classmates from Sts. Adalbert and Hedwig, for sewing, crafts, an exciting game of Michigan Rummy, and her occasional “Black Velvet” and water. She was a former parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church and a current member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Paul Drozik, Judy (Ed) Wyszumiala, and Joe Drozik; grandchildren, Ed Wyszumiala and Katie Miller; and great-granddaughter, Madison Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul “Bud” Drozik; sister, Dolores Bertz; and nephew, Larry Bertz.
Visitation will be Monday, February 3 from 2-7 at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy recited at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 11 a.m. preceded by visitation at the church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
