Phyllis Joan Powell

Phyllis J. Powell, age 87, formerly of Stickney Ave, in Toledo passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance, MI. She was born on August 28, 1934 in Toledo, OH to Frank and Florence (Schwindt) Powell. Phyllis was an employee of Amerisource in the Customer Service Department for over 40 years. She was also a dedicated and loving caregiver for her mother Florence for many years. A woman of strong faith, she enjoyed attending services and singing in church choirs as a former member of Apostles Lutheran Church and New Hope Lutheran Church in Toledo, and current member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Monroe, MI.   

Phyllis is survived by her niece, Cherie (Michael) Packard; nephew, Terrence (Laurie) Powell; great nieces, Amy Pudlowski and Kimberly Borer; great nephews, Nathan Powell and Austin Powell; 6 great-great nieces and nephew; and special friend, Karen Mead. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Powell; and sister-in-law, Dolores Powell.

Visitation will be Monday, January 3 from 10-11 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 East Alexis Rd. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Fager presiding. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.
