Ralph Joseph Bartnikowski, age 77, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Ebeid Center. He was born on November 5, 1948 in Toledo, OH to Thaddeus and Frances (Bejmowicz) Bartnikowski. Ralph was a graduate of Macomber High School. He began his employment career as a line foreman and union steward for the Dana Corporation, for 30 years. He went on to work for Toth Industries, AVI Food Systems, and Gordon Food Service at the Alexis Rd. store for 18 years. Ralph was a loving and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, and family man known for his friendly demeaner, wonderful sense of humor, and fondness for scratch-off lottery tickets. He was an excellent provider for his family, often working overtime and weekends, including pumping gas for Schaad’s gas station while also working at Dana. An enthusiastic sports fan, Ralph followed Ohio State football, Lions football, and Tigers baseball, and never missed his grandchildren’s athletic events. He was a man of faith, a charter member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, and a current longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Janice (Sochacki) Bartnikowski (married August 1, 1970); children, Christopher (Sarah) Bartnikowski and Heather (Sean) Casier; grandchildren, Peyton (Ethan “Larry” Engelhardt) Bartnikowski, TJ Casier and Jase Casier; and sister, Phyllis Knapik. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Bartnikowski.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 30 from 4-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a rosary led by the Regina Coeli Holy Name Society at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. with prayers at the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
