Reuben Peters , age 85, of Toledo, OH passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born June 17, 1939 in Mound Bayou, Mississippi to Reuben and Hattie (Walton) Peters, Sr. Reuben worked for Champion Spark Plug for 30 years and as a lab courier for MCO, retiring in 2014. Reuben enjoyed fishing and bowling in his younger years. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. A true people person, he could light up the room with his charismatic personality. He was a lifetime member of Christian Community Church.
Reuben was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Peters in 2014; sister, Mini Sebre Peters; and brother, Charles Peters. He is survived by his children, Trisha (Phillips) Peters and Reuben Randolph (Ramona) Peters III, grandchildren, Linze Geller-Peters, Hillary Phillips, Hailey Phillips, Reuben Peters IV, and Riley Peters; sister, Lavelle King; and brother, John B. Peters. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, December 13 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Hobbs presiding. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
