Richard “Dick” John Bage, age 76, of Toledo, OH, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Detroit Campus with his loving family by his side. He was born in Toledo, OH, on August 18, 1948, to John Stanley and Thelma (Travis) Bage. Dick attended Raymer Elementary and was a 1966 graduate of Waite High School. He later earned a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo. He began his career at ADT Security working in sales for several years earning a number of awards for his performance. Dick met the lovely Laurie Orgel and they were wed on September 24, 1977 and together they spent many happy years raising their family. Shortly after being wed, Dick and Laurie opened Ohio Diagnostics. At the time it was the first outpatient independent diagnostic facility in Ohio. In 1992, they launched a new business, MedCorp, Inc. from which they later retired in 2010 as the owner/operator. During their time operating MedCorp, Inc. they generously donated extensively to the area food banks, donated an ambulance to the Toledo Zoo, and an ambulance for humanitarian aid in South America. Never one to be idle, Dick was a member at Epworth United Methodist Church and a member of Toledo-Sylvania Elks Lodge #53, where he served as an Esteemed Loyal Knight. When not working, Dick enjoyed all things sports, playing competitive softball, power volleyball, golf, and flag football. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University and was proud of his classic Ohio State University jacket. Of all Dick’s accomplishments and memories, his greatest joy in life was the love he shared with his family.
Dick leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Laurie Bage; his sons, James (Teri) Bage, and Justin Bage; his grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon) Holmes, Tyler Bage, and Thea Farrell; his sister, Christine (Daniel) Crane; his brother, Jeffrey (Julia) Bage; his sister-in-law, Connie Orgel; his nieces and nephew, Melissa (Tolga) Tomar, Aaron (Kristie) Crane, Leah (Steven) Baber, Jill Bage, and James (Sarah) Baber; and many extended family and dear friends he met in his life.
