Richard Jerome “Rich” Niedbalski, age 74, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Mercy St. Anne Hospital. He was born on December 27, 1946 in Toledo, OH to Heromin and Wanda (Wilkolek) Niedbalski. Rich was a graduate of Woodward High School. A Veteran of the US Army and member of VFW 606, he worked in building maintenance at Service Master, and in telecontrol for Doehler Jarvis, retiring from there in 2005. Rich enjoyed bowling with his coworkers on the Doehler-Jarvis bowling league, playing softball, shooting pool, and playing Dart Ball at PRCUA. He was also skilled in Calligraphy and known for his beautiful penmanship. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, family man and friend to many, he will be dearly missed.
Rich is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Frances (Jagodzinski) Niedbalski; children, Michael (Erin Hess) Niedbalski, Jennifer (Tony) Valentine, and Angie Brock; grandchildren, Kayla Brock, Cody Valentine, and Kelsi Brock; and sister, Kathleen Czop. His parents preceded him in death.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 12-3 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The VFW 606 Burial Corps will conclude the visitation with Military Honors at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Those paying their respects are asked to keep your visit brief, wear a facial covering, and follow social distancing guidelines.
